The Texas Chapter of SCCM is looking for potential nominees for Texas Chapter members to support in nomination to National Awards from the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Please read the following information and submit a Texas Chapter member for nomination.

Our chapter has supported National Award candidates in the past and are looking to submit some well qualified candidates again this year. Because the process of obtaining chapter consensus and collecting support documentation can be lengthy, the Texas Chapter Nominations Committee would like to get a head start on the 2025 nominations.

We are looking especially for candidates in the following sections, but will gladly consider other appropriate nominations:

• Teaching and Education Awards
• Administrative Awards
• ACCM Distinguished Investigator Award

We are accepting nominations until April 22nd, 2025. Nominate someone you know or with whose work you are familiar, including a self nomination. You can also reply with multiple nominations in the same email, in case you have proposed candidates for more than one award. If your potential candidate is not yet a member of the Texas Chapter – there is still time for them to become one to proceed with the nomination process!

To nominate someone please respond to president@scccmtexaschapter.org with the following info:

• Nominee’s full professional title
• Nominee’s contact email
• Name of award for which you are nominating the individual
• Brief statement of support for your nomination
• If not self nominating, whether you would be willing to write a formal letter of support for the candidate’s nomination
