Symposium Speaker Biographies 2024
Coming Fall 2024!
Submission Criteria
Research abstracts will follow the same format at SCCM Annual Congress and will be peer-reviewed for quality by members of the Research Committee
Research will be categorized into two (2) submission categories:
- Completed or in-progress research
- Case reports
Authors should not “split” data to create several abstracts from one data set. If splitting is judged to have occurred, the abstract lead will reach out to the submitter and will ask that they choose which abstract they would like to have considered for the award.
Abstracts containing identical or nearly identical data submitted from the same institution will result in disqualification of all submitting individuals.
Award Criteria
No more than 2 total awards will be given each year and will be awarded to the highest scoring abstracts amongst all categories
The highest quality abstract submitted will receive 1st place and free Symposium registration, as well as up to $600 to be used towards any SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities for up to 2 years following the award.
The second highest scoring abstract will receive 2nd place and free Symposium registration, as well as up to $400 to be used towards any SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities for up to 2 years following the award.
Approved SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities include:
- SCCM Texas Chapter Membership Registration Fees

Selection Process
The abstracts will be reviewed by the SCCM Texas Chapter Research Committee, made up of multidisciplinary chapter members
