“Disparities in Critical Care”

The SCCM Texas Chapter held it’s 5th Annual Symposium, Disparities in Critical Care, September 16th & 17th at Houston Methodist Research Institute. We proudly hosted 22 speakers for more than 140 registered multi-disciplinary attendees including physicians, nurses, advance practice nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists who earned CE for their participation. Highlights of the conference included an opening keynote address by Janice Zimmerman, MD, MCCM, MACP, FCCP and a closing keynote by Ruth Kleinpell, PhD, RN, FAAN, FCCM, the President-Elect of SCCM. We engaged in professor walk rounds on 12 original posters during the poster session and had overwhelming exhibitor support from 17 vendors.
