Society of Critical Care Medicine – Texas Chapter 4th Annual Symposium Highlights
“Hot Topics in Critical Care”
The fourth annual Society of Critical Care Medicine – Texas Chapter Symposium was a great success! The symposium, held at Trinity University, attracted over 100 participants, speakers, vendors, and volunteers. The focus of the conference was “Hot Topics in Critical Care “. Attendees benefited from pertinent programming discussing the implementation of best available evidence on the topics of infectious diseases, resuscitation, nutrition, respiratory care, palliative care, and the provision of critical care outside of the ICU. The program was opened by a key note address on Multidisciplinary Care in the ICU by Dr. Patrick Cullinan. A research poster session with professor walk rounds was also provided and offered an opportunity for clinicians to highlight their research. The Symposium also featured an exhibit hall where attendees had the opportunity to interact with industry representatives whose products help facilitate the delivery of care to the critically ill.
